"They who hold the scales, hold the balance" is inspired by depictions of the Madonna and child.
For this piece I wanted the Madonna to be genderless and otherworldly - they are the universe and all it's creatures. I also liked the idea of the "child" holding the balance of life and death, hence the cornucopia and scythe.
This is an original unique piece that will not be repeated or reproduced as a print.
